Lawrence G. Slason
A substantial portion of Mr. Slason’s law practice is devoted to personal injury litigation, commercial real estate development, and environmental permitting. Attorney Slason has substantial trial experience in Vermont and New Hampshire and has obtained a number of notable verdicts for his clients. He has been a guest presenter for the Vermont Association for Justice on personal injury matters.
In Attorney Slason’s commercial real estate and environmental practice he regularly provides legal representation in connection with land use planning and development matters and has represented numerous clients in proceedings before municipal zoning boards, District Environmental Commissions, Environmental Court and Vermont Supreme Court. Mr. Slason has been lead counsel for several major projects in Vermont, including the development of Okemo Mountain as a year-round destination resort, the redevelopment of Rutland City’s downtown plaza, Burr & Burton Academy’s mountain campus in Peru, Vermont, and most recently representation of South Face Village at Okemo in connection with the development and permitting of a 208 unit recreational residential planned community in Ludlow, Vermont.
Mr. Slason is a member of the Vermont, New Hampshire, and American Bar Associations; American Association for Justice, and the Vermont Association for Justice, Board of Governors.
eric G. velto
Attorney Eric Velto has been practicing in southern Vermont for over a decade as both a corporate and transactional lawyer. Mr. Velto is an experienced commercial real estate attorney having represented buyers and sellers of commercial real property including food and beverage locations, motels and lodging, retail operations and veterinary practices.
Mr. Velto has guided businesses with formation, administration, and regulatory compliance, and has represented clients in civil litigation and land-based litigation including road and boundary disputes and environmental contamination.
Attorney Velto’s practice has increasingly focused on estate planning, wills and trusts with specific attention to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security planning.
Mr. Velto is a former Board Member and Eastern District Representative of the Vermont Bar Foundation. Mr. Velto currently serves on the Board of Trustees at The Grammar School in Putney, Vermont.
Samantha L. Snow
Attorney Samantha Snow has been with Salmon & Nostrand since 2015. Ms. Snow’s practice is primarily focused on personal injury, workers’ compensation, civil litigation, and criminal defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Attorney Snow was a Deputy State’s Attorney in Rutland, where she handled all aspects of criminal cases from charge to trial.
Ms. Snow is a member of the Vermont Bar Association as well as the American Bar Association.
LeeAnn Sargent has been a Paralegal at Salmon & Nostrand since 2002. Ms. Sargent is a skilled title abstractor and has over 20 years of experience facilitating residential and commercial real estate transactions.
Ms. Sargent received her Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Studies from Woodbury College in 1996.
